About Mrs Giglio
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to my third grade learning support class. I am truly looking forward to working with your child this year. Third grade promises to be an exciting year of growth for your child. I will look for your child to become more independent and blossom as a learner, as well as make positive peer relationships throughout the year. I love teaching third graders and watching them grow throughout the year as readers and mathematicians, as they learn new skills like multiplication and division!
This year your child has been given the opportunity to work in the learning support classroom. Here, the students will have the opportunity to work in a small group setting or the whole classroom setting with support to best meet each child’s individual needs. It is an exciting opportunity for children, as each benefits from the increased individualized attention that the learning support classroom can provide. This classroom includes children of all abilities and focuses on each of their unique and special talents.
Throughout the year, I will look for growth within your child in both academic and social areas. Your children will track their own growth in their academic goals folder and mindfulness journal. I believe that with a positive attitude, cooperative social skills, and a love of learning, nothing is impossible; no goal too great. I look forward to spending the next several months fostering a love of learning and a sense of pride within your child.
A little about me--I have been teaching at Rolling Hills for 6 years with 17 years of elementary school teaching experience in 3 different states! I have Bachelors degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education, as well as a Masters with a Literacy Specialist Certification. I spend my time outside of school with my husband, two children--Luke and Emilia, and our dog Dina. We love to go camping, hiking, and to the beach. Any time spent outside is time well spent! I am from Maryland originally, so I love the Baltimore Orioles, Ravens, and the University of Maryland Terrapins! I look forward to getting to know your child this school year and watching them grow!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Giglio
