Learn More About Mrs Sweeney

Hello Third Grade Friends!      

 

Here is some information about me so that you can get to know me!  I am proud to say that I have been a teacher at Council Rock for 14 years now.  This will be my 11th year teaching third grade. I have also taught 1st grade and spent a year assisting in second grade.  Before teaching, I obtained my degree in psychology and spent time as a social worker helping children.  I was also an instructional  assistant, and had the opportunity to help a lot of children become successful learners during their days at school.  I have always loved and bonded with children and cannot wait to make this year an extra special one for you too!

 

Here are some of my favorites! The color purple, vanilla anything,  family celebrations, singing,  iced coffee, the Poconos, skiing, seafood, dancing, movies, and mystery and biography books    

 

There are a LOT of Sweeneys!  My family members are my husband Owen, my son Owen jr. who is 26 and working in business, my son Conor who is 24 and is an apprentice plumber.  his twin sister Catherine who is a hairdresser right near us in Newtown!  We also have Sarah, who is 21 and works as an accountant, Ava who is 18 years old and is a a freshman at Temple University this year, Ace and Fiona our puppies, and Nala and Lynx our kitty cats.  There are a lot of people and pets at the Sweeney household!  

 

We went to the beach in New Jersey, went fishing locally,  and to the Poconos this summer.  We also ate plenty of ice cream, went swimming, and celebrated lots of family events.  We had some awesome family fun this summer, and some quiet days at home hanging with our pets.  I can't wait to hear about your summer, and I am so excited to get to know more about YOU and your families!  Here are some pics of our puppies Ace and Fiona, kitty cats Nala and Lynx, and the whole Sweeney Family.
